Why Blog?

Why am I creating a blog? Allow me to tell you.
- Because I’m a stay-at-home mom who doesn’t get as much conversation with grown-ups as I would like and this is an outlet for that (at least with myself if no one else reads it).
- I’ve always wanted to be a writer and never really did anything about it. (My ideal job would be to write a newspaper column about anything I want, so this is my perfect venue!)
- Because my husband isn’t a reader and I like to talk about books.
- Because I’d like to document my daily life with my child so he has it to look at in the future.
- Because it gives me a creative outlet that actually excites me more than the others I have tried (such as scrapbooking).
- Because this blogging thing is so easy and it is fun to play with the templates.

ugh, scrapbooking. are my kids going to hate me when i have nothing to hand to them on their wedding day except a shoebox full of photos stuck together because i spilled coke on it years ago?
very to the point for your first post. i love how many of us reference thinking we will somehow fly under the radar and not be “read”. did you have ANY idea at the time that you would have a throng of followers just waiting to hear what you have to say?
oh, and i bought gods behaving badly but have GOT to get through my other one first. i am on the final stretch and am mildly interested to see how it turns out.
I’m starting to read your blog from the beginning, and I’m already beginning to understand your comment about thinking we were separated at birth.
I’ve always loved to write, and actually studied journalism for 3 years in college and was an editor at 2 college newspapers. I discovered it wasn’t the career path for me, but boy have I ever missed writing since I switched majors. Blogging is an excellent outlet to deal with the stress in my life, but it also lets me be creative, too. Glad it does the same for you!
This is the first comment on the first post of Jenners’ new blog!
