Thank You ElleBee … Plus Worthwhile Toy Recommendation

Oh, and the Starbucks card? I’m using it to buy the Starbucks Christmas CD! It will always have a special place in my Christmas music collection because there is such a lovely story behind it.
Be sure to stop by and check out more Wordful Wednesday posts!
As a public service for the holiday season, I am ending all my posts for this week with recommendations of toys that I’ve found to be worthwhile in case you need any ideas for the child in your life. Today’s recommendation:
Cariboo by Cranium
From Amazon Product Description:
- Cranium Cariboo comes with a Cariboo Island game board, six treasure balls, two sets of cards (beginner and advanced), one key, a treasure chest, and rules sheet
- Kids love every minute of Cranium Cariboo as each turn gives them the chance to match fun drawings, unlock secret doors, and even discover hidden treasure
- Every game is different — you never know where the treasure balls hide
- Rounds of Cariboo last about 10 to 15 minutes — perfect for young attention spans
- Cranium Cariboo helps kids grow, and it grows with your child!
What I Say: This game has so much fun stuff going on — dropping brightly colored balls in holes, opening “locks” with a key, a treasure chest to open — that they don’t realize they are sneakily learning their numbers, colors and letters. There are two sides to the cards (Beginner and Advanced) so y0u can adjust the difficulty to your child’s needs. My son and his friends love this game — the biggest problem is fighting over whose turn it is to unlock the next door! I pretty much love all Cranium games but this is a perfect game for the young ones!

Congratulations! I love that photo
I’ve never tried the Cranium games before.
We could all use a little more Starbucks in our lives. Congratulations!

great photo – congrats – I won a starbucks card months and months ago – and I still haven’t used it!
I can’t find the ripoff recipe, but this is real close to the Red Lobster biscuits – I think the recipe’s actually found on the side of the Bisquick box. My kind of recipe…
2 c. Bisquick
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded cheese
1/4 c. margarine
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Stir Bisquick, milk and cheese until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 strokes. Drop dough by 10-12 spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 for 8-10 min. or until golden brown. Mix melted margarine and garlic powder and brush on biscuits.
Monkey Bread
24 frozen dinner rolls – thawed (rhodes are good)
small box non-instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
Spray bundt or 9×13 pan. Cut rolls in half and roll in pudding mix. Arrange in pan. Sprinkle remaining mix on top. * Combine br. sugar and margarine; heat until syrup is formed. Stir. Pour over rolls. Cover with plastic wrap.
Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap. Bake at 350 for 30-35 min. Cover with foil last 15 min. of baking to prevent burning. Invert onto serving platter immediately after baking.
That is a great photo. I love it. You look so cute and what a great prize.
Loved the picture!!!
I am definitely going to check out Wondertime. Thanks for the recommendation, and as soon as you said you need to try Monkey Bread, I was about to tell you I’d give you the recipe, and then I realized I never gave you the recipe for the Red Lobster biscuits – mommy brain…
I’m going to the kitchen to grab my cookbook and I’ll be back with those recipes.
COngratulations and I like your photo!!! Very cute
) hihi… you should wear that on Christmas Eve too!
Aww…you are too sweet! I’m glad you enjoyed the giveaway! I’m sure the Little One looks too cute in the glasses.
