• I Am Totally Spoiled!

I’m feeling pretty guilty right now because of my post yesterday about how my husband annoys me because he came through BIG-TIME for Valentine’s Day!

First I need to tell you that I had asked him “Are you doing anything for Valentine’s Day?” because we sometimes agree not to bother getting each other gifts for holidays like this. He said “No, I am not doing anything.” So, I thought, “Cool. I am off the hook.” I did end up getting him a chocolate covered apple as a little treat but otherwise I didn’t do anything — not even a card.

My first mistake was phrasing the question as “Are you DOING anything…” instead of saying “DID you DO anything…” because there is a difference between the two. Turns out, he had ordered me the Kindle 2!!!!!!!

Yes — I am getting a Kindle 2 — the Amazon electronic reader that I have been lusting after ever since I heard about it. I was going to get it for Christmas but decided it cost too much. Then I was glad I didn’t because they just released the new Kindle this past week, which has tons of upgrades but for the same price. So I was thinking I would get it for my birthday in September if I am good. But he ordered it for me earlier this week, and it should arrive within the next two weeks. Needless to say, I was speechless and amazed and overjoyed … and feeling massively guilty.

And guess what else — that wasn’t all he did. See the little photo of me that appears up in your web browser instead of the Blogger symbol? That is a favicon — he set one up for me on my blog. I mean how great is he — to use his computer skills for good instead of evil?

So I don’t blame you if you hate me … I would too because I am spoiled rotten! I just love my husband to pieces!

And I’ve been reading on other blogs about finding out your “love language.” Well, I’m pretty sure mine is “buy me gifts.”

Do you know when yours is expected to arrive?

Congrats!!!! I saw the Kindle 2 last week and got sooooo mad that I didn’t wait a couple months!! I mean, I LOVE MINE, don’t get me wrong, but seriously?! A new one came out right after I got mine! Not cool. Anyways, hope you enjoy it! I know you will!!! :)
And I love your favicon! We learned how to do those in my web design class in high school. Or, my friends learned how to do those and I copied their work because I’m computer illiterate.

What a great guy. The hubs and I totally agreed not to do anything this year I would have felt like such an a** if he didn’t stick to his word.

      Hey Jenners!

Congrats on the Kindle. Let me know how you like it. I would love to give it a try, but it only works in the US. Dang – I wish it worked in Danang! (That was a really lame joke. We’re not even moving to Danang, we’re moving to Saigon. I should just delete it, but maybe it’ll get a chortle!!!)

      Ciao!
