Friday High Five is hosted by Angela over at Angela’s Adventures and Minor Mishaps. If you want to play along, Friday High Fives is really easy and non-restrictive! Make a list of 5 things — ANY five things you want! 5 favorite things, Top 5 Vacation spots, 5 most embarrassing moments, 5 favorite pics, 5 reasons to not pick your nose……A LIST OF ANYTHING YOU WANT IT TO BE! Then post it and then go on over to Angela’s place to link up via Mr. Linky.

5 Things I Wouldn’t Know or Do Without the Little One In My Life
    • I would not know that an obscure car from the Cars movie (who has only 15 seconds of screen time) has the “real” name of Winford Bradford Rutherford.

    Winford Bradford Rutherford
    • I would not be able to identify the Thomas the Tank Engine characters based solely on their numbers.

Thomas The Tank Engine — not to be confused with
    Edward, the #2 Engine.
Also Edward has a coal tender. Duh!
    • I would not have the opportunity to hone my coloring skills, which have lain dormant for 30 some years. I can so stay in the lines!
    • I would not be plagued by the theme song from “Toot and Puddle” repeating in my head all hours of the night and day.
    • I would not be able to recite dialogue from the Cars movie. Name me any scene in the movie and chances are I can recite all the dialogue verbatim.

I wonder if this will come in handy when I finally attempt to go back to work. I can hear the job interview now.

“Ms. Jenners, what special skills do you bring to this company?”

“Well, Mr. Interviewer, I can color inside the lines like you won’t believe — and my color choices are daring. I know all the characters from Cars and have the entire screenplay memorized. Plus, I am knowledgeable about the inner workings of the Island of Sodor, and I can sing the theme song from Toot and Puddle a capella.”

“I’m sorry, Ms. Jenners. I just found out all open positions in this company have been filled.”

    Important Note
Mr. Jenners is dragging us all to some podunk town called New York City for a long weekend. I think it is some kind of backwoods hick town. Ever heard of it? I sure hope we can find some stuff to do there. Anyway, this means I won’t be around this weekend to catch up on my blog visiting and won’t be able to “spread my comment love like Johnny Appleseed.” (Johnny Appleseed line stolen from Bee and Rose.) So sorry, friends! Please understand : )

Important things to know if you ask me. :) My youngest son taught me that flies still buzz without their wings. :)

LOL! I loved your creative answers. I have no idea what any of the Cars or Train characters names are. However…I do know every single Disney princess and My Little Pony’s name.

I’m positive recognizing Pinky Pie and Jasmin will totally help me save a patient one day ;)

Hope you all have a lovely time in the big apple!

Since having my two daughters, I too have learned the value of coloring in the lines…and if I get too excited while coloring and dare to go outside the lines, boy do they let me have it. I have found, many a time, that it is really a relaxing thing to do…and you would think you were handing them the world by taking time to color with them! My hubby even colors…when he is bored at church and the girls have one of the bags they provide with all the colors and books and reading stuff. He has been caught more than once doing so. Anyway, I think us moms should be highly valued if we can manage to find coloring time! Happy Friday!

You crack me up! Although when I do go back to work maybe my coloring skills will help me get a kindergarten or first grade position! Have fun on your trip. Sounds like a dump but I am sure you will find something to do, lol.

It’s too bad that people can’t look beyond how important it is to color within the lines. Don’t they know that coloring in the lines is a metaphor for a law abiding citizen who will do whatever it takes to get the job done?

Okay, I know that’s a load of crap. But, I’ll be going back to the work force soon (after 14 years!) and I need to come up with something!

I love New York. Haven’t been there in almost 10 years.

The worst is sitting at my desk singing (not just humming) the Cat in the Hat song at my desk at work. uh-huh.

      Have Fun!

HAha! I think that you are very marketable! Just have your future employers read your blog! Oh wait, then you couldn’t blog about THEM…

Have a great time in NY- I’m JEALOUS!!!

That’s hilarious! I know the movie Cars also and Aladdin, Lion King and many many more. Maybe we should get some type of voice over job! Hmm..! I can also name all dinosaurs, whether they are herbivores or carnivores, their original region…..wow who knew we possessed such useful skills. These should definitely shorten my job hunt! lol Thank for joining again!

Have fun in NYC…. Glad to know I am not the only one that has seen the movie Cars 200 times (seriously and that is one long @ss movie!)

Well, if all else fails, you could audition for a stage version of Cars. Maybe it’ll make it to Broadway one day and you’ll be famous?
And have a blast in NYC. Be thinking of your dear bloggy friend (that’s me) that’s stuck in south Alabama… in a real-life podunk town!

NYC – isn’t that something to do with apples? Big Apples?

Loved your list – I can relate! Also, I know all about Star Wars – the LEGO variety too!

my only advice for when you back to work is to look for a job in a train yard. or maybe see if nascar is hiring. i would think all of your qualifications would be desirable at nascar.

We’re set. Combine your special knowledge of arcana with the words I don’t use and we can have the little men from the nut house take us away anytime.

My daughter loves Toot and Puddle. We have it on all the time. Little One would enjoy coming over to my Thomas warehouse in my toy room. I’m always tripping over a train. Hope you can find something to do in that ghost town of NYC!!

I used to read Toot and Puddle to Ryan when she was little and every time I’d say ‘Toot’, she’d crack up. She is SO my kid.

Have a great weekend!!! NYC is no Pigsknuckle, but you’ll find some stuff to do, I’m sure.
