Today’s BBAW writing prompt is to post our interview swaps with other book bloggers. My interview partner was Silver from Silver’s Book Reviews. Without further ado, here is my interview with Silver.

Question 1: Why did you start your book blog?

I’ve been reading books my whole life, and I’ve encountered both good and bad books. Some books I love so much I read them over and over, and some books I can’t even get past the first chapter. I started my blog to share my honest opinions on these books, to share my exhilaration and joy in finding a treasure and to warn people away from books that are likely to waste their time and money.

Question 2. How do you handle reviews for books you don’t like?

I try to be objective and to give a disclaimer for personal biases. I state my reasons why I feel a book didn’t resound with me and what improvements I would like to see in the author’s future books.

Question 3. What have been some of your favorite recent reads?

I feel like I’ve struck a gold mine lately because there are several books that gave me that sense of satisfaction after I’ve finished reading the last page. To name a few: Not Quite A Husband by Sherry Thomas, The Immortal Prince by Jennifer Fallon, The Duke of Shadows by Meredith Duran, and Revealed by Kate Noble. As you can see, I read mostly romances and fantasy books.

Question 4. If you were trapped on a desert island for a year and could only bring 5 books, what 5 books would you bring?

Five only? I think I’m going to have a hard time choosing, but basically, I’d choose books that I’d want to read repeatedly. After all, only five books in one year. So, the winners are: Not Quite A Husband by Sherry Thomas, Something Wonderful by Judith McNaught, Once and Always by Judith McNaught, Paradise by Judith McNaught, and This Heart of Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

Question 5. Aside from reading, what do you like to do?

Reading. Oh, well, if I must have something other than reading, well, I guess it would be surfing the Net and playing role-playing computer games, like World of Warcraft, Icewind Dale, Baldur’s Gate, etc.

If romance, fantasy, paranormal and mainstream novels are your cup of tea, be sure to check out Silver’s Book Reviews. If you would like to read Silver’s interview with me, pop on over and check it out.

Tomorrow’s BBAW prompt is a fun reading meme.

You're right, you were more generous by giving five books! To think I almost limited it to one! :) Nice interview.
