• Book Title Meme

I’ve been meaning to do this meme ever since I saw it over at As Usual, I Need More Bookshelves, and tonight seemed as just a good a night as any.

What To Do: Using only books you have read this year (2009), answer these questions. Try not to repeat a book title. It’s a lot harder than you think!

Describe yourself: Wallflower at the Orgy (Nora Ephron)

How do you feel: Bitter Is the New Black (Jen Lancaster)

Describe where you currently live: The Lost City of Z (David Grann)

If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Where The Mountain Casts Its Shadow (Maria Coffey)

Your favorite form of transportation: The Girl Who Stopped Swimming (Joshilyn Jackson)

Your best friend is: The Neighbor (Lisa Gardner)

You and your friends are: Gods Behaving Badly (Maria Phillips)

What’s the weather like: New Moon (Stephenie Meyer)

You fear: A Lifetime Burning (Linda Gillard)

What is the best advice you have to give: Cutting Loose (Nadine Dajani)

Thought for the day: I’m Down (Mishna Wolff)

How I would like to die: The Disappearance (Efrem Sigel)

My soul’s present condition: The Unlikely Disciple (Kevin Roose)

That wasn’t as bad as I thought! Though I should confess I’m not really fond of swimming, nor am I all that bitter! If you did this one or are going to do it, let me know. I think this is a fun one!

BTW, I wanted to let you know I did get your 20Q answers, but have been so out of sorts lately that I have not had the chance to get them to the blog. I think I have forgotten a couple of people. I promise to get to it soon. Sorry, Jen!

Loved your responses. I, too, would never think of you as being bitter, with the exception of not having more time to read. I admit I have read less this year (24 books) than in any year in the past decade —I blame it on spending so much time blogging. I had nothing for the transportation question, so I just threw in one of the titles that didn't fit anything else. I hope people understand that one has to choose from the titles one has read, so all of the answers aren't absolutely true.

I think I might try this using all the books I can remember reading. But that one will take some time to think about.

Great meme and I loved your answers! But I'm happy to know you aren't bitter since I certainly don't think of you that way! Love the response to You and your friends are: Gods Behaving Badly, that's Priceless! And I love where you live!

Fantastic job! I will do this meme one day soon!

You did a great job! I never remember books I've read, and don't write them down anywhere. I guess that explains why I have multiple copies of some titles?

Maybe I should start keeping track…

Haha half of these made me crack up. Hmm I don't know if I am creative enough to think up titles for all these. I might give it a shot though hrmmm

That's a fun meme. You made it look very easy – I'm not sure I could come up with so many clever titles. Great job!

Some very good answers though I think I'll take your word that it's not as difficult as it sounds.

I think we are all chuckling at Wallflower at the Orgy! Not only is it fun in this meme, but I'm wondering what the heck the book is all about! I've seen this meme now and again, but thought it looked hard!

Brilliant meme! I've seen it done with song titles.. but I like it with book ones too.

Might give it a go if I have time!

That was fun to read. I looked at the questions thinking about the books I've read this year. I think answering this is not that easy as you made it look. Good job.

Oh and I just realized I haven't read a single one of those books!

Like Alyce, I've been meaning to do this one for a while. (I will get around to it one of these days…) I like Wallflower at the Orgy as an answer!

I loved your answers! I've been meaning to do this meme for a while. Hopefully someday soon I'll find the time (that seems to be my mantra lately). :)

This is a cute meme! In fact, I liked it so much I did it too ;-) Here's mine

I love the cartoon too. War and Peas sounds much easier to digest than its real counterpart (which I glance at on my shelf every now and then).I better stop before the bad puns continue, lol

"Wallflower at the Orgy" – that's a funny choice :) Wouldn't that be an interesting blog post though? Fun meme! Great job Jenners.
