    Link up at Mama Kat’s!

This week, in celebration of my recently rejoining of Twitter, I thought I’d do Prompt 1. Of course, not having much material to work with, I’ll have to take the prompt in directions it was probably not meant to go.

Prompt 1: Compile and share a list of your favorite tweets.

    Actual Favorite Tweets By Me
    • Highly suspicious of Manwich can claim that it provides a full serving of vegetables.
    • Question from Little One: If Q and U are always supposed to be together, why aren’t they next to each other in the alphabet?

(Like I said, I just rejoined and don’t have much material to pull from. Will work on this.)

Actual Favorite Tweets By Celebrities (And By Celebrities I Mean The Comedian Michael Ian Black)
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
They should lower the driving age to six so children can drive themselves to birthday parties.
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
Seeking large grant to conduct scientific study intended to disprove the “mo’ money, mo’ problems” theory.
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
More foods should come with prizes. I would eat a lot more venison if it came with prizes. Ditto: unflavored yogurt.
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
Leaning towards a Kindle. Which is annoying the person holding the Kindle I’m leaning towards. #hilarious
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
Thinking about getting a Kindle. Do people like them? Do you need to know how to read?
    • @michaelianblack Michael Ian Black
Shepherd’s Pie for dinner in honor of St. Paddy’s Day, followed by Samoan Girl Scout cookie in honor of food that tastes good.

These are great! I’ve been so remiss on Twitter. I am a Twitter failure but hope to get things going again this week.

      • 04/04/2011 at 7:41 pm

I’m kind of a Twitter failure too.

    2. 04/01/2011 at 6:59 pm

The afterlife tweet made my heart beat a little faster.
That would be a wish of mine too.

Hmmm, warm bread and butter…I need some now :)

      Fun post Jenners.

      • 04/01/2011 at 7:24 pm

I made myself cry with that tweet. Imwish we could all have that kind of tweet.

    3. 03/31/2011 at 11:25 pm

Loved all of your fantasy tweets. I just had an old friend with a book website offer the chance to read books and get paid a small fee for it. He hasn’t specified how small, but I’m thinking I could sleep an hour less each night just so I could say I was getting paid to read books :)

      • 04/01/2011 at 8:23 am

Well, if your friend needs some additional help, I’m available for a small fee! (Though if I was you, I don’t know if I would sacrifice an hour a night of sleep!!!)

    4. 03/31/2011 at 10:47 pm

This is so creative. I love the way you took the prompt. I’m laughing!

    5. 03/31/2011 at 7:37 pm

I also loved the tweet from your parents! How cool is that??!!

      • 03/31/2011 at 7:51 pm

I so wish it were true.

    6. 03/31/2011 at 4:07 pm

I just followed you on twitter and tweeted to you. I need to be in the know on what you know.

As for Manwich, ummm….yeah that does seem like a stretch, but then again, I don’t even care because it’s just that good.

      • 03/31/2011 at 7:48 pm

I’m not the best Twitterer…and I know next to nothing so I hope you get your money’s worth.

    7. 03/31/2011 at 2:46 pm

I love the tweets by Michael Ian Black! I’m going to have to follow him. Now see I was going to say you forgot the one from Jenny Craig offering to be a spokesperson after the whole Godiva chocolates deal, but then I saw your next fantasy tweet which was even better. :)

And of course I love the last tweet. Awesome post!

      • 03/31/2011 at 7:47 pm

I’ve sampled a few comedian Twitter feeds and I think Black’s is one of the best.

    8. 03/31/2011 at 2:11 pm

I’m suspicious of manwich too. And–you go girl, I’m sure when you’re president you WILL fix everything :) As for the last, I don’t think that’s fantasy at all. I really do believe that your mom and dad are together and they are doing fine. Someday you’ll see them again.

      • 03/31/2011 at 7:47 pm

Thank you for your certainty and faith about my parents. It is comforting.

    9. 03/31/2011 at 12:25 pm

LOL – Black is hilarious! Must follow him on Twitter…

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:54 pm

He has some good stuff — when he isn’t running bogus campaigns to be made spokesperson of Taco Bell! : )

    10. 03/31/2011 at 11:15 am

I L.O.V.E. your list of fantasy tweets!! I would also like to know why Q and U are not next to each other in the alphabet:)

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:53 pm

That was a very good question, wasn’t it? I really had no good answer for him.

    11. 03/31/2011 at 10:49 am

I think the manwich can is a lying bastard

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:53 pm

Thank you for your agreement! There is just NO WAY that can be true!

Not often that I laugh AND cry at the same post but you accomplished that. Great job. Stopping by from Mama Kats.

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:53 pm

My goal was to get everyone to experience all the emotions in one post. Looks like I’ve succeeded.

    13. 03/31/2011 at 9:30 am

      those fantasy tweets are hilarious!

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:52 pm

Thanks! They were fun to write.

    14. 03/31/2011 at 8:50 am

Fantastic tweets! I particularly love the fantasy ones – I’m holding out for the serious Twitter job offer myself. And the president thing.

      • 03/31/2011 at 12:52 pm

Perhaps our dreams of fantasy employment and becoming rulers of the free world will come true someday!

    15. 03/31/2011 at 8:26 am

Loved this post, and I think that the afterlife tweet is the one that is the most on target, and poignant.

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:37 am

It felt oddly comforting to write that tweet … even though I knew it was “fake.” It felt so true and comforting. Strange how doing these kinds of posts can have unexpected benefits.

    16. 03/31/2011 at 12:45 am

Oh gosh, that last one made me teary.

I don’t twitter but I felt kind of like I did reading yours. Thanks.

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:37 am

I made myself cry with the last tweet too. Sigh.

    17. 03/31/2011 at 12:14 am

totally love it!! I am on twitter, but I really haven’t gotten into the tweet thing (yet). I am going to have to do one of the other prompts! (Good thing too, because you did this one way too well!)

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:36 am

I’ve only been “Twitting” for a few weeks but you can see that it didn’t stop me! : )

Love this post! I would love to get most of your fantasy tweets too!

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:36 am

I hope someone is working on the fantasy Twitter app right now!

    19. 03/30/2011 at 11:02 pm

Your Little One is right! Q and U should be next to each other in the alphabet.

Your list of fantasy tweets is fantastic!

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:35 am

I thought my Little One made a very valid point. I didn’t have a good answer for him. It does seem like the alphabet should be “…..LMNOPQURSTVWXYZ.”

      03/30/2011 at 10:13 pm

those are the best tweets. I am kinda sad I didn’t think of them.

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:34 am

I wish I’d thought of Michael Ian Black’s tweets!

    21. 03/30/2011 at 9:32 pm

I don’t tweet, don’t know how. But I love the one’s you got. and I’d vote for you too.

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:34 am

My future self thanks you for your vote.

      03/30/2011 at 8:48 pm

Excellent question posed by the little one.
I loved those comedian’s tweets- I might have to start following!
I so wish for you that you could get a tweet like that from your parents. How comforting would that be for those of us left behind? I am so sorry!!
Somewhat related story: Some family friends had a mother die recently, and then the father died a few months later. At his deathbed the father sat up, smiled, and said “Oh Edith! (the mom’s name!) there you are!” Last words! I like to think that maybe that can tell us something of what to expect?

      • 03/31/2011 at 8:33 am

Oh … thank you for sharing that story! I love it and find it incredibly comforting. I’ve heard enough similar ones to have faith that this really does happen.

    23. 03/30/2011 at 6:03 pm

Wonderful fantasy tweets!! The one that made me really laugh, though, was the one about leaning towards a Kindle. Ahahaha!

      • 03/30/2011 at 8:03 pm

I wish I could take credit for that one! He is my favorite Tweeter!

    24. 03/30/2011 at 4:53 pm

these are all so perfect…the last one …well, the last one made me cry as I’m sure it will many. Wonder if my dad left me a tweet in there too?
      you’re too cool Jenners!

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:09 pm

Wouldn’t it be so cool if we could have a tweet from the afterlife… just a 140 characters for them to tell us something? Such wishful thinking.

    25. 03/30/2011 at 4:33 pm

enjoyed this a lot! very creative as usual.

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:08 pm

I really started having fun when I decided to do the fantasy ones.

    26. 03/30/2011 at 4:24 pm

Crap, I’ve got tears in my eyes. First my piggy came back from the jaws of death, and now this. You are something else.

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:08 pm

Yes … I think “something else” is a very good way to describe me. As my mom used to say, “You got from the sublime to the ridiculous.”

    27. 03/30/2011 at 4:14 pm

Oh, Jenners… that last one tugged on my heart.

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:07 pm

I got a little teary myself. I had this image of everyone in heaven getting one tweet to send and hoping this is what I would get.

    28. 03/30/2011 at 4:12 pm

I’d vote for you, Ms. President!

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:07 pm

I believe you already did — or your future self did.

    29. 03/30/2011 at 4:05 pm

I missed the word fantasy in the last part of your post and got really excited for you for a second there.

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:07 pm

I love for a moment that you actually believed Robert Pattinson might be interested in me and that I might get a book deal. : )

    30. 03/30/2011 at 3:24 pm

You made me laugh and cry. I am a little hormonal today. Sorry. ;) Fun post, as usual.

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:06 pm

I’m hormonal today too. I made myself cry with that last one.

    31. 03/30/2011 at 2:39 pm

What great tweets! All you need is one more from @virtualprizevan notifying you of your lottery win!

      • 03/30/2011 at 5:06 pm

I did actually have a similar one to that (@edmcmahon You won the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes despite not entering!) but decided since I was getting free chocolate and lots of money to read and review books, it was overkill!
