If you’re still not sure about joining in A People’s Readalong of A People’s History of the United States that Jill and I are trying to sell you on, check out Jill’s excellent post that tells more about the author, Howard Zinn, and some ancillary material that is available to supplement the reading experience.

I read the first chapter today, and it was very readable and informative. I think this will be an educational and interesting readalong, and the pace of “one chapter per week” is perfect for this type of book. If you’re wavering, check out Jill’s post. It will probably tip you into the “yes” column.

I just ordered the book, and it should be arriving by tomorrow, so hopefully I will be ready to discuss soon! This is my first public readalong, and I am excited! I can’t wait to see what I think!

I was all set to buy this book on my kindle and give it a whirl, and it’s not available for kindle!! Bummer. So I’m going to keep my eye out for a copy in a book store – when and if I find it, I’ll take it as a sign that I’m meant to join in on this read-along. ;)

Can’t wait for my book to arrive! I did order it because I have a bad habit of needing to underline and highlight and mark up books i’m reading

I have to admit that one chapter per week is totally reasonable.
