Even though Hurricane Sandy spared us, the virus going around was not as kind. Poor BB has been sick since last week, and now Mr. Jenners and I are feeling poorly. Since I don’t have a lot of spare energy to blog, I thought I’d show you some shocking photos of Romeo and Juliet doing poses for their centerfold spreads in upcoming issues of Dog Fancy magazine.

Ms. July loves running like a bat out of hell, sniffing butts and long walks in the neighborhood.

Mr. April loves naps, playing with toy skunks and long rubs on the belly.

Glad to hear that you and your family managed to make it through Sandy without any harm. Big storms, earthquakes, etc seem to be a trend these days all around the world and it’s even more scary when you know people who are affected by them.

Dog porn….I don’t think I can look at your dogs the same way again after seeing them pose like that.

      • 11/24/2012 at 8:40 pm

Sorry that I’ve shown you Romeo and Juliet’s “dark” sides. :)
And it does seem that natural disasters are more common, dont’ they?

    2. 11/18/2012 at 3:51 pm

Cute! I think this post is why I can’t pull your blog up at work anymore. They block your site saying filtered for “porn”. couldn’t figure it out…NOW I know why :)

      • 11/20/2012 at 1:06 pm

OMG!! I didn’t even think of that!! How disappointing for anyone at your work who filters “banned” sites so just find my little dogs! HAHA!

      Romeo is so cute!

      • 11/16/2012 at 9:35 pm

Isn’t he? And the funny thing is that I just looked over at him as I type this comment and he is laying in his “centerfold” pose. So funny!

    4. 11/09/2012 at 11:03 am

Too cute!!! We have a lot of doggie porn in our house too. That’s Sam’s favourite position especially when he wants something.

      • 11/11/2012 at 9:22 pm

Sometimes if you walk into a room, both dogs will suddenly flip over like that like they are saying “rub my belly NOW.”

    5. 11/09/2012 at 10:24 am

      Hilarious!

      • 11/11/2012 at 9:23 pm

It helps make up for when they aren’t so good.

    6. 11/08/2012 at 10:02 am

My goodness, the first edition of PlayPup. Hoping all is better in the Jenners household. Having had a flu-like virus myself you have my every sympathy.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:48 pm

        PlayPup … I love it!!

    7. 11/08/2012 at 7:11 am

I love Juliet’s white face and black ear. She’s adorable.
My dogs love to sleep like that too sometimes, and I have to go really close and look at them to see if they are still breathing – they don’t move a muscle!
I hope you guys get well soon. I miss your reviews!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:48 pm

I love that black ear too! And I know what you mean … they lay like that absolutely still and seem like they are stuffed animals or something.

    8. 11/07/2012 at 6:40 pm

Sorry you guys are sick. My granddaughter had it, then my daughter had and then my hubby got it. It is BAD STUFF!! Hope you all start feeling better soon!

Love the photos!! My dog and cat like to lay around like that too. No shame!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:49 pm

We’re definitely feeling better. And you’re right … no shame in relaxing to the utmost.

    9. 11/07/2012 at 11:28 am

LOL! They are too dang cute!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:50 pm

Their cuteness always brightens my day.

    10. 11/06/2012 at 11:03 pm

Hi Jenners, thanks for stopping by,
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork. It’s a very time consuming task, I need one when I visit with my mom, since much of the time I’m there she is asleep. I got hooked on this when I made some snowflakes.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:51 pm

Thanks for explaining quilling. It looks really neat from the cover of the book I saw. I hope you feature some of your work.

    11. 11/06/2012 at 7:43 pm

I’m glad to hear you got through Sandy in one piece. It was a rough day! The doggies are adorable!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:51 pm

I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it never did … for that I’m grateful.

    12. 11/06/2012 at 2:07 pm

      Aw……

This morning, I asked Esther what she wanted to do today and she slowly rolled over on her back and requested a belly rub. :)

Hope the household feels tip-top soon.

    13. 11/06/2012 at 11:14 am

So glad you haven’t lost your sense of humor what with Sandy and now the SICKNESS!! Hilariousness. My sister hates it when our dog does that. Have you ever been around chickens? That is hardcore porn. A chicken yard. Horrible. HA!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:52 pm

I shall watch my step around chickens. It sounds kind of yucky!

    14. 11/05/2012 at 11:14 pm

They are so cute! Why is it so hard to resist taking pictures of dogs? I can’t help myself.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:53 pm

We have almost as many dog photos as we do kid photos!

    15. 11/05/2012 at 6:34 pm

Sorry you’re feeling sick and hope you improve soon. LOL at the doggie porn. We call our girls slut puppies when they do this sort of thing. ;-)

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:54 pm

        Slut puppies … love it!!

    16. 11/05/2012 at 4:36 pm

Even down with a virus, you’re funnier than most people I know.

My dogs are both 100-pounders but they strike the same pose. They just don’t look quite so cute. :-)

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:55 pm

I’m sure 100-pounders don’t quite pull off “cute” with anything! Wow .. those are big dogs!

    17. 11/05/2012 at 3:36 pm

So sorry your son is sick! Never fun. Hope he gets better soon.
And your captions totally made me laugh. Glad the storm was good to you

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:55 pm

We lucked out with Sandy but paid with the sickness. I guess it balanced out.

Our Christmas card had to be edited last year because the Otter Pup’s goods were proudly displayed for all to see. The end result? A gender neutral pup which made her look like a freak of nature.

Hope you are all feeling a bit better.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:56 pm

Hilarious!! Mr. Jenners said I should have put black boxes over their goods but I went hard core.

Hope You all get feeling better soon.

Thanks. We’re all on the mend.

    20. 11/05/2012 at 1:45 pm

      So delightful! Get better soon!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:57 pm

Thanks … you’re good wishes worked. We’re all feeling better.

    21. 11/05/2012 at 12:37 pm

I get it, I really do. My big boy always gets into that position when I want to take photos of him. He thinks the whole world wants nothing more than to see his wee-wee.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:57 pm

It must feel good to air it all out I guess!

    22. 11/05/2012 at 6:21 am

      Lol! Feel better soon!

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:57 pm

Thanks … we’re all on the mend thank goodness.

    23. 11/04/2012 at 10:13 pm

Our dogs love to rock that pose, too! I hope you’re all on the mend soon.

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:58 pm

That post never fails to crack me up when they do it … which is often.

    24. 11/04/2012 at 9:49 pm

      My word! what models.

    25. 11/04/2012 at 9:35 pm

      No modesty there…LOL very cute

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:58 pm

I think that is what makes it so funny to me … they are so casual and relaxed! People could never post like this without stressing.

    26. 11/04/2012 at 9:17 pm

I hope you feel better soon! And why do all dogs love this position?

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:58 pm

I suspect the fresh air feels good!

    27. 11/04/2012 at 8:07 pm

      I wuv them.

      Feel better soon

      • 11/08/2012 at 8:59 pm

I wuv them too. And we’re all much better — YAY!

    28. 11/04/2012 at 8:06 pm

They are too funny :) Feel better soon! The cold bug is going around, my youngest has been feeling sick for a few days as well.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:00 pm

It does seem to be working its way around. YUCK! (Are you guys off for “New Jersey School Week”?) We went from sick to being home ALL WEEK and it is driving me nuts! I can’t wait until Monday.

    29. 11/04/2012 at 8:03 pm

Romeo and Juliet are quite the models!

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:00 pm

They both lounge around like that all the time. Cracks me up always.

    30. 11/04/2012 at 7:27 pm

I am sorry you are all feeling ill, feel better soon! And the doggie photos are adorable

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:01 pm

We’re feeling better. Probably from laughing at our silly dogs.

      11/04/2012 at 6:57 pm

This is shocking! Simply shocking. ;-)
Bandit. Or was it Sammy, had the good taste to wear a fig leaf in his photo.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:01 pm

I”m waiting for my blog to be shut down for “mature content.” HAHA!

      11/04/2012 at 6:19 pm

Hope you all are 100% very soon! Ms. July and Mr. April are adorable!

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:01 pm

We’re definitely on the mend … and our centerpups say “thank you.”

    33. 11/04/2012 at 5:24 pm

      Awesome.

I get crafting magazines in the mail and hubby jokes that it’s my porn arriving because I’ll often oooh and ahh over what I see and the ideas I get. I tease him back when he looks at his aviation magazines.

These are great photos and I hope you all feel well again soon. Rest, relax, and definitely no cooking and plenty of chocolate.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:02 pm

Since you are medical professional, I’ll take your excellent advice — chocolate, no cooking and rest! Sounds great!

    34. 11/04/2012 at 4:45 pm

Thanks for the laugh. I showed my husband and he enjoyed it too.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:03 pm

Good to hear! A “family friendly” post! HAHA!

    35. 11/04/2012 at 4:10 pm

If I lived somewhere that wasn’t rainy/snowy for half the year, I would totally be thinking about getting a puppy today. But there’s no way I’m doing walkies in miserable weather. :)

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:04 pm

And wet dogs and muddy paw prints would ruin your house in a second!

    36. 11/04/2012 at 2:53 pm

Thanks for the chuckle! I needed something to laugh at as I head into lunch prep and grocery shopping.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:04 pm

Glad to help out! Ugh on grocery shopping. I hate doing that!

    37. 11/04/2012 at 2:43 pm

They are too cute! Milou was never much of a back sleeper so we don’t have any centerfold shots of her.

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:04 pm

I love when they sleep curled up in little balls too. I’m sure you’re missing her something fierce. Hugs.

    38. 11/04/2012 at 2:12 pm

Those shots just scream for some belly rubs!!

Hope you all feel better soon!

      • 11/08/2012 at 9:05 pm

I know! They probably lay like that to encourage belly rubs!

    39. 11/04/2012 at 1:35 pm

Sometimes they have to air their stuff out. It feels good. Our cats have that same need. But sister, are you going to get the spam with that blog title!!!

      • 11/06/2012 at 7:23 pm

So far so good on sicko spammers. But six months from now will be a different story.

    40. 11/04/2012 at 1:20 pm

No matter the species, they like ‘em hanging loose.
