You’re A Sly One, Fizzy Jill

During a recent e-mail conversation with Fizzy Jill, I somehow got convinced to write a song parody about Fizzy Jill (AKA Softdrink) and her mad Words with Friends skills (she routinely beats me by more than 200 points per game). The tune is based on “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” so, besides being a song parody, it is seasonally appropriate. If you forget the tune, you can hear the original here. (Oddly enough, at points I was able to use the original lyrics as they seemed spookily fitting, which leads me to believe that perhaps the song was written about Fizzy Jill in the first place.) So, without further ado, I present:

(Sung to the tune of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” … though the rhymes are not precise so perhaps you shouldn’t really try to sing it. This isn’t the easiest song in the world to match the rhythms of. Just sayin’.)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your parody. I feel like someone is always beating the heck out of me in Words with Friends. I’m intelligent, I have a good vocabulary. So what’s the deal, right? I have long suspected arbitrarily awarded points. That’s my final answer.
It is frustrating isn’t it? I think it is all in paying attention to the triple word spaces and all that. I don’t look that far ahead.

Nice. But once I got to the line “your rack is full of vowels”….all I could think of was her stuffing letter tiles down her bra. And, seriously, are those description words about Fizzy Jill real words that, hypothetically, could be stolen and used in another Words with Friends game? No reason. I am just curious.
Those are real words. They are some of the highest scoring Scrabble words. They don’t seem like real words, though, do they? And your comment about the rack just cracked me up!

In her defense, she probably isn’t cheating but it seems awfully suspicious to me that she “always” seems to have the perfect letters and spaces. (It could be that I’m that bad but let’s not go there.)

This is hilarious (especially the photo) but I do have one question for you – how many hours a day do you spend playing Words with Friends?
You know, it could have easily been you that I wrote this song about. (But Fizzy Jill started it so she was featured.) I don’t really spend that much time on it. Perhaps that is why I don’t score the big points. I don’t spend a lot of time looking for the best move.
